Jennifer Brea, Director

Jennifer Brea is an independent filmmaker based in Los Angeles. She has an AB from Princeton University and while studying for her PhD at Harvard she fell ill leaving her bedridden. In the aftermath, she rediscovered her first love, film.

Her Sundance award-winning, Emmy-nominated feature documentary Unrest was shortlisted for an Oscar. Unrest has screened in over 30 countries, had its US national broadcast on PBS’s Independent Lens, was distributed worldwide on Netflix. She is also co-creator of Unrest VR, winner of the Sheffield Doc/Fest Alternate Realities Award. Brea is a TED fellow, co-directed Call Me Cleo for HBO Max and is writing her first narrative script as an independent project.

Tim Rummel, Producer

Tim Rummel is a veteran producer, creative executive, and a 2021 Sundance Catalyst Fellow. He recently produced ART FOR EVERYBODY (SXSW 2023), and NO ORDINARY CAMPAIGN (SXSW 2023). Tim was with NBCUniversal for 12 years as a creative executive, where he developed and oversaw production of the blockbuster competition series AMERICAN NINJA WARRIOR, as well as on a wide variety of cutting-edge documentary series. After NBCU, Tim served as VP, Development & Production for CORE Media, and subsequently led development and production for Redtail Media. 

James Wright, Executive Producer

James was awarded a First-Class Honours degree in Politics from the University of Bristol. From there, he went on to work for the Barack Obama Presidential campaign in Virginia and in the New York film industry for decorated studio head, Bob Berney. James has also worked for award-winning film producers John Hart at Hart Sharp Entertainment, and for Celluloid Dreams founder, Hengameh Panahi. At 23 he wrote wrote and co-produced a short film with Sony, helmed by Academy Award winning director Ed Zwick, starring Diane Kruger and Sam Rockwell.

In 2012, he founded So It Goes a publishing house, biannual arts and culture magazine and creative agency. Over the past ten years, as Creative Director of the company, James has identified, pitched, secured and executed features with some of the world’s most exciting new talent, and established, acclaimed talent working across Hollywood, fashion, art, music and more. Oscar, Emmy and Grammy winners make up a So It Goes community.

During the pandemic, James Co-Founded So It Goes Films. A new independent division of the company tasked with scaling 11 years of owned story IP and new, originally concepted in-house projects into documentary, episodic television and feature films. The SIG Films slate currently comprises two episodic television projects repped by CAA, a feature length documentary and Executive Production across two independent feature films.

SIG films draws on over a decades worth of storytelling experience and unique relationships within Hollywood and the entertainment world, comprising such talent as:
